I'm a postdoctoral researcher employed since 2024 within a project related to model uncertainty, where my focus will be incorporating stochasticity and machine learning into parameterizations with the aim to better characterize and reduce model uncertainty. In my PhD I developed machine-learned emulators of radiative transfer.  I'm broadly interested in hybrid modelling frameworks which combine machine learning with domain knowledge in one way or another; e.g. parameterizations with ML components.

Research interests

machine learning
stochastic parameterizations
convection
clouds
atmospheric radiation
code optimization
