I am a research assistant in the space instrumentation group. My research is focused on the development of the optical ground support equipment for the ARIEL space telescope. I’m particularly interested in the challenges of developing precision optical instrumentation that can operate reliably at cryogenic temperatures, bringing together thermal, mechanical and optical design with experimental testing and validation.
Alongside my research, I am a demonstrator in the first-year undergraduate optics teaching labs.
