Cross section for forward j/ψ production in pp collisions at √s=1.8 tev
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 66-9 (2002)
Abstract:
The inclusive cross section for J/Ψ production times the branching ratio B(J/Ψ→μ + μ - ) has been measured in the forward pseudorapidity region: B×dσ[p - +p→J/Ψ(p T >10 GeV/c,2.1<|η|<2.6)+X]/dη = 192±9(stat) ±29(syst) pb. The results are based on 74.1±5.2 pb -1 of data collected by the CDF Collaboration at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The measurements extend earlier measurements of the D0 Collaboration to higher p TJ/Ψ . In the kinematic range where the experiments partially overlap, these data are in good agreement with previous measurements.Direct Evidence for Neutrino Flavor Transformation from Neutral-Current Interactions in the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory
Physical Review Letters 89:1 (2002)
Abstract:
Observations of neutral-current [Formula presented] interactions on deuterium in the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory are reported. Using the neutral current (NC), elastic scattering, and charged current reactions and assuming the standard [Formula presented] shape, the [Formula presented] component of the [Formula presented] solar flux is [Formula presented] for a kinetic energy threshold of 5 MeV. The non- [Formula presented] component is [Formula presented], [Formula presented] greater than zero, providing strong evidence for solar [Formula presented] flavor transformation. The total flux measured with the NC reaction is [Formula presented], consistent with solar models. © 2002 The American Physical Society.Measurement of Day and Night Neutrino Energy Spectra at SNO and Constraints on Neutrino Mixing Parameters
Physical Review Letters 89:1 (2002)
Abstract:
The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) has measured day and night solar neutrino energy spectra and rates. For charged current events, assuming an undistorted [Formula presented] spectrum, the night minus day rate is [Formula presented] of the average rate. If the total flux of active neutrinos is additionally constrained to have no asymmetry, the [Formula presented] asymmetry is found to be [Formula presented]. A global solar neutrino analysis in terms of matter-enhanced oscillations of two active flavors strongly favors the large mixing angle solution. © 2002 The American Physical Society.Measurement of the B+total cross section and B+differential cross section dσ/dpTin pp̄ collisions at √s=1.8 TeV
