Superconductivity CDT
The Superconductivity CDT is a four-year course related to the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Superconductivity: Enabling Transformative Technologies. This CDT is designed to equip students with advanced skills to tackle the biggest challenges in superconductivity.
Students will apply for specific research projects from the start of their degree, and their research will develop alongside a varied training programme. To find out more about the Superconductivity CDT, visit the website: https://superconductivity-cdt.ac.uk/.
Superconductivity CDT DPhil Projects 2026
The Superconductivity CDT DPhil projects for 2026 at the University of Oxford are listed on: Oxford DPhil Projects 2026 | EPSRC CDT in Superconductivity: Enabling Transformative Technologies.
For applications to the Superconductivity CDT in Oxford, please use the admission website for the Superconductivity CDT.
Oxford Open Day
The Superconductivity CDT in Oxford will be holding an in-person open day for any prospective DPhil applicants on 4 December 2025 at the Clarendon Laboratory, Department of Physics at the University of Oxford. Please register here before 28 November 2025.
This event offers an opportunity to meet potential supervisors, as well as current members of their research groups, and visit some of the various laboratories involved in the Superconductivity CDT. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, and listen to talks from current students about their experience studying at Oxford.
This event is held jointly with the Condensed Matter Physics Open Day. More details will be published closer to the event on the registration page.
On-line Open Day
There will be an additional online Open Day for the whole Superconductivity CDT on 5 December 2025. Please register separately for this event at: https://superconductivity-cdt.ac.uk/open-days-2025/.
