Proposed subject: Classical Mechanics and Special Relativity, Mathematical Methods I & II, Numerical Methods, Differential Equations and Waves, Thermal Physics and Statistical Mechanics, Quantum Physics, Advanced Quantum Mechanics, Fluids, General Relativity, and any Astronomy, Astrophysics or Programming options.
Experience: I am a first-year Astrophysics DPhil student with over five years of tutoring experience, amounting to more than 400 hours of teaching at A-Level and below. Additionally, I have TA’d a second-year programming course at the University of Bath. I am now eager to expand my teaching of university-level physics.
I have a strong foundation in undergraduate physics and astrophysics, having completed my MPhys in Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Bath. During my degree, I was honoured with the Ayliffe Prize for achieving the highest grade in the final year of any undergraduate physics course and the Chancellors’ Prize for achieving the highest overall grade in any undergraduate course at the university.
I understand the central role tutorials play in shaping the undergraduate experience at Oxford, and I am confident that my academic achievements and teaching experience position me as a strong candidate to deliver engaging and insightful sessions across the proposed topics. Moreover, I am deeply passionate about teaching and am enthusiastic about contributing to the academic development of students during my time here.

Proposed subject: Plasma Physics, Laboratory Demonstrating, Numerical Methods, Mathematical Methods, Atomic and Laser Physics, Flows, Fluctuations and Complexity, Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism and Optics, Thermal physics, Quantum physics
Experience: I am a first year Atomic and laser physics DPhil looking to help deliver undergraduate physics courses. I have a strong theoretical understanding of background in the subjects proposed – from my academic career as well as my experience in industry. I additionally I have experience, having carried out projects at University and in industry, in scientific computing and so am very happy to help with programming aspects of teaching modules. Understanding the importance that tutorials have in Oxford teaching, I will work hard outside of teaching to ensure that I can deliver teaching above the expected standard.
