As the Administration Officer, and PA to the Head of Theoretical Physics, I have a wide and varied role. I work closely with Prof Julia Yeomans FRS, Head of the Rudolf Peierls Centre (RPC) for Theoretical Physics, providing administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Centre.
I liaise with, and support, over 100 members of the Sub-Department, including academics, research staff, and graduate students and am often the first point of contact for Alumni, senior leaders and students from external institutions and for other visitors to RPC.
I am responsible for coordinating many of the Sub-Department’s activities across the whole of Physics (including Human Resources, Finance, Grants Team and Building Services) and the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division.
