I am a graduate student in Condensed Matter Physics in a joint position between the University of Oxford, Diamond Light Source and ISIS Neutron and Muon Source. My research concerns interfacial magnetism and magnetic coupling phenomena in thin film heterostructures that I grow via molecular beam epitaxy and sputtering. I have a particular interest in the interfaces between antiferromagnets and topological insulators. I study these heterostructures primarily using X-ray magnetic linear and circular dichroism, photoemission electron microscopy and polarised neutron reflectometry. Before starting my DPhil, I graduated with a first-class honours M.Sci. degree in Physics from the University of Birmingham. My thesis was titled Quantum Magnetism in Less Than Three Dimensions. As the graduating student with the highest overall mark, I was awarded the SWJ Smith Prize.
