I am a third year DPhil student in Professor Norreys' group. I started my DPhil studies in October 2019, after graduating with a Master's degree from the University of Bath.
My research is on inertial confinement fusion, with a particular focus on direct-drive low-convergence ratio implosions of wetted foam targets. This has consisted largely of 1D radiation-hydrodynamic simulations, and I have also designed and performed an experiment on the VULCAN laser to measure the principle Hugoniot of fusion relevant TMPTA foam.
