I am a second-year DPhil student working with Prof. Jayne Birkby and Prof. Raymond Pierrehumbert. I am interested in the characterisation of exoplanet atmospheres, particularly those of rocky exoplanets, to better understand planet formation, atmospheric chemistry, dynamics and habitability, and ultimately, life in the universe. My work focuses on determining the detectability of technosignature gases on nearby exoplanets with the next generation of high-resolution spectrographs, such as the mid-infrared imager and spectrograph METIS on the Extremely Large Telescope.
I have a background in planet formation and space exploration. I obtained a Master's in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Amsterdam, and a Master's in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
