Measurement of Wγ and Zγ production in pp collisions at s=7 TeV
Physics Letters, Section B: Nuclear, Elementary Particle and High-Energy Physics 701:5 (2011) 535-555
Abstract:
A measurement of W γ and Z γ production in proton-proton collisions at s=7 TeV is presented. Results are based on a data sample recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb-1. The electron and muon decay channels of the W and Z are used. The total cross sections are measured for photon transverse energy ETγ>10 GeV and spatial separation from charged leptons in the plane of pseudorapidity and azimuthal angle ΔR(ℓ,γ)>0.7, and with an additional dilepton invariant mass requirement of Mℓℓ>50 GeV for the Z γ process. The following cross section times branching fraction values are found: σ(pp→Wγ+X)×B(W→ℓν)=56.3±5.0(stat.)±5.0(syst.)±2.3(lumi.) pb and σ(pp→Zγ+X)×B(Z→ℓℓ)=9.4±1.0(stat.)±0.6(syst.)±0.4(lumi.) pb. These measurements are in agreement with standard model predictions. The first limits on anomalous WW γ, ZZ γ, and Z γγ trilinear gauge couplings at s=7 TeV are set. © 2011 CERN.Measurement of the Drell-Yan cross section in pp collisions at √ s = 7 TeV

Abstract:
The Drell-Yan differential cross section is measured in pp collisions at √ s = 7TeV, from a data sample collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb-1. The cross section measurement, normalized to the measured cross section in the Z region, is reported for both the dimuon and dielectron channels in the dilepton invariant mass range 15{600 GeV. The normalized cross section values are quoted both in the full phase space and within the detector acceptance. The effect of final state radiation is also identified. The results are found to agree with theoretical predictions. Copyright CERN.Measurement of the inclusive Φ cross-section in pp collisions at s=7 TeV

Abstract:
The cross-section for inclusive Φ meson production in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of s=7 TeV has been measured with the LHCb detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The differential cross-section is measured as a function of the Φ transverse momentum pT and rapidity y in the region 0.6Measurement of the jet fragmentation function and transverse profile in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector

© (publication year), (publisher). All rights reserved. The jet fragmentation function and transverse profile for jets with 25 GeV < pTjet < 500 GeV and |ηjet| < 1.2 produced in proton-proton collisions with a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV are presented. The measurement is performed using data with an integrated luminosity of 36 pb−1. Jets are reconstructed and their momentum measured using calorimetric information. The momenta of the charged particle constituents are measured using the tracking system. The distributions corrected for detector effects are compared with various Monte Carlo event generators and generator tunes. Several of these choices show good agreement with the measured fragmentation function. None of these choices reproduce both the transverse profile and fragmentation function over the full kinematic range of the measurement.Measurement of the lepton charge asymmetry in inclusive W production in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV
