The AOPP EDI working group plays an active role in the department and is a great place to get involved in improving departmental practices. Past projects include setting up a mentoring scheme for postdocs and improving the dissemination and assessment of diversity-related recruitment data (both of which have now been expanded physics-wide).
AOPP also has a faculty EDI rep who contributes to physics-wide EDI meetings as well as leading their own AOPP-focused EDI initiatives.
Further EDI efforts are organised at a physics department wide level.
