Study of substructure of high transverse momentum jets produced in proton-antiproton collisions at √s=1.96TeV
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 85:9 (2012)
Abstract:
A study of the substructure of jets with transverse momentum greater than 400GeV/c produced in proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider and recorded by the CDF II detector is presented. The distributions of the jet mass, angularity, and planar flow are measured for the first time in a sample with an integrated luminosity of 5.95fb -1. The observed substructure for high mass jets is consistent with predictions from perturbative quantum chromodynamics. © 2012 American Physical Society.Measurement of Bs0→Ds(*)+Ds(*)- branching ratios.

Abstract:
The decays Bs0→Ds(*)+Ds(*)- are reconstructed in a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.8 fb-1 collected by the CDF II detector at the Tevatron pp[over ¯] collider. All decay modes are observed with a significance of more than 10σ, and we measure the Bs0 production rate times Bs0→Ds(*)+Ds(*)- branching ratios relative to the normalization mode B0→Ds+D-to be 0.183±0.021±0.017 for Bs0→Ds+Ds-, 0.424±0.046±0.035 for Bs0→Ds*±Ds^∓, 0.654±0.072±0.065 for Bs0→Ds*+Ds*-, and 1.261±0.095±0.112 for the inclusive decay Bs0→Ds(*)+Ds(*)-, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic. These results are the most precise single measurements to date and provide important constraints for indirect searches for nonstandard model physics in Bs0 mixing.Measurement of the CP-violating phase βsJ/ψ in Bs0→J/ψ decays with the CDF II detector
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 85:7 (2012)
Abstract:
We present a measurement of the CP-violating parameter βsJ/ψ using approximately 6500 Bs0→J/ψ decays reconstructed with the CDF II detector in a sample of pp̄ collisions at √s=1.96TeV corresponding to 5.2fb -1 integrated luminosity produced by the Tevatron collider at Fermilab. We find the CP-violating phase to be within the range βsJ/ψ [0.02,0.52] [1.08,1.55] at 68% confidence level where the coverage property of the quoted interval is guaranteed using a frequentist statistical analysis. This result is in agreement with the standard model expectation at the level of about one Gaussian standard deviation. We consider the inclusion of a potential S-wave contribution to the Bs0→J/ψK +K - final state which is found to be negligible over the mass interval 1.009Precise measurement of the W-boson mass with the CDF II detector
Physical Review Letters 108:15 (2012)
Abstract:
We have measured the W-boson mass MW using data corresponding to 2.2fb-1 of integrated luminosity collected in pp̄ collisions at √s=1.96TeV with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. Samples consisting of 470126 W→eν candidates and 624708 W→μν candidates yield the measurement MW=80387±12 stat.±15syst.=80387±19MeV/c2. This is the most precise measurement of the W-boson mass to date and significantly exceeds the precision of all previous measurements combined. © 2012 American Physical Society.Measurements of the angular distributions of muons from Y decays in pp̄ collisions √s = 1.96 TeV
