I'm an inorganic chemist and crystallographer from Marburg, Germany. I am interested in the various types of novel semi-conducting compounds that are under investigation for light-harvesting and light-emitting applications, especially (but not limited to), lead-free perovskite derivatives, as well as quantum-cutting materials to improve the efficiency of already existing PV devices.
Coming from a chemical background, my interests include the development of new compounds, the experimental pathways for their synthesis, and the investigation of optical and electronic properties as well as the relationships between observed properties and structural motifs.
To prevent confusion, my name is Jakob Möbs, but for problems with the ö, I'm also known as Jakob Moebs or Jakob Mobs outside Germany.
