About me

I studied as an undergraduate at ETH in Zürich, Switzerland. After completing my master's degree in 2016, I moved to Munich and was awarded my PhD degree from TUM, while working at the Max-Planck Institute for Physics in a somewhat joint position between the ATLAS collaboration and the phenomenology group.

My research at the RPC

I am a theoretical physicist working mostly on particle phenomenology in the context of high-energy particle accelerators, like the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. In particular my interests lie in Higgs boson and top quark physics.

In the group of Prof. Gavin Salam, my work is focused on parton showers, which are tools used ubiquitously in the simulation of collisions (so-called Monte Carlo event generators). Two of the goals of the PanScales collaboration are indeed to better understand the logarithmic structure that parton showers aim to reproduce, and to improve their accuracy. This entails other effects usually considered sub-leading, like the treatment of colour corrections, spin correlations, and so on. If you are interested, please visit the collaboration's website!

My research is funded by Prof. Salam's Royal Society Research Professorship. I also hold a Fulford Junior Research Fellowship at Somerville College.
