Next-gen weather forecasting to measure human impact

Forecasting centres like the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) in Reading or the Met Office could apply the same tools used for numerical weather forecasting to understand and quantify how human behaviour is impacting major events like heatwaves, storms and floods.

AI-led science innovation protects communities hit by climate variability and change

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC), and other national forecasting and meteorology agencies across east Africa are joining forces together with our group to pioneer a transformative initiative that is revolutionising extreme weather forecasting and early warning systems in the region.
