Present and future CP measurements
J PHYS G NUCL PARTIC 27:6 (2001) 1277-1380
Abstract:
We review theoretical and experimental results on CP violation summarizing the discussions in the working group on CP violation at the UK phenomenology workshop 2000 in Durham.Quasi-model-independent search for new high pT physics at D0
Physical Review Letters 86:17 (2001) 3712-3717
Abstract:
An overview is given of a search for new physics beyond the standard model, assuming nothing about the expected characteristics of the new processes other than they will produce an excess of events at high transverse momentum (PT). A quasi-model-independent strategy (Sleuth) is applied to many exclusive final states in a data sample corresponding to 100 pb1 of pp collisions. The resulting data is analyzed in detail.A comprehensive characterization of Hamamatsu 16-and 64-anode PMTs
NUCL INSTRUM METH A 461:1-3 (2001) 571-573
Abstract:
We are reporting preliminary results of studies of R59000-00-M16 and M64 tubes, manufactured by Hamamatsu Photonics, to he employed by the MINOS neutrino experiment. Our tests focused on anode response uniformity, gain, cross-talk, and linearity for light illuminating PMTs through a 1.2mm diameter fiber. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. NUCL PHYS B-PROC SUP 98 (2001) 57-64
Abstract:
MINOS is a neutrino experiment which uses a beam of neutrinos from the Fermilab main injector to determine the parameters of possible neutrino oscillations. It consists of two detectors: a near detector to measure the beam composition at the production site and a far detector 730 km away to re-measure the composition and detect any oscillation which may have occurred. MINOS is a tracking calorimeter build from solid plastic scintillators to measure all the neutrino interactions.Ratio of jet cross sections at √s = 630 GeV and 1800 GeV
