Inclusive radiative ψ(2S) decays
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 80:7 (2009)
Abstract:
Using e+e- collision data taken with the CLEO-c detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we have investigated the direct photon spectrum in the decay ψ(2S)→γgg. We determine the ratio of the inclusive direct photon decay rate to that of the dominant three-gluon decay rate ψ(2S)→ggg (Rγ≡⌈Γgg(γgg)/⌈(ggg)) to be Rγ(zγ>0.4)=0.070±0.002±0.019±0.011, with zγ defined as the scaled photon energy relative to the beam energy. The errors shown are statistical, systematic, and that due to the uncertainty in the input branching fractions used to extract the ratio, respectively. © 2009 The American Physical Society.Precision measurement of the X(3872) mass in J/ψπ+π- decays
Physical Review Letters 103:15 (2009)
Abstract:
We present an analysis of the mass of the X(3872) reconstructed via its decay to J/ψπ+π- using 2.4fb-1 of integrated luminosity from pp̄ collisions at s=1.96TeV, collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The possible existence of two nearby mass states is investigated. Within the limits of our experimental resolution the data are consistent with a single state, and having no evidence for two states we set upper limits on the mass difference between two hypothetical states for different assumed ratios of contributions to the observed peak. For equal contributions, the 95% confidence level upper limit on the mass difference is 3.6MeV/c2. Under the single-state model the X(3872) mass is measured to be 3871.61±0.16(stat)±0. 19(syst)MeV/c2, which is the most precise determination to date. © 2009 The American Physical Society.Measurement of charm production cross sections in e+e- annihilation at energies between 3.97 and 4.26 GeV
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 80:7 (2009)
Abstract:
Using the CLEO-c detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we have measured inclusive and exclusive cross sections for the production of D+, D0 and Ds+ mesons in e+e- annihilations at 13 center-of-mass energies between 3.97 and 4.26 GeV. Exclusive cross sections are presented for final states consisting of two charm mesons (DD̄, D*D̄, D*D̄*, Ds+Ds-, Ds*+Ds-, and Ds*+Ds*-) and for processes in which the charm-meson pair is accompanied by a pion. No enhancement in any final state is observed at the energy of the Y(4260). © 2009 The American Physical Society.String Photini at the LHC
