First observation of exclusive χcJ decays to two charged and two neutral hadrons
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 78:9 (2008)
Abstract:
We study exclusive χc0,1,2 decays to four-hadron final states involving two charged and two neutral hadrons: π+π-π0π0, K+K-π0π0, pp̄π0π0, K+K-ηπ0, and K± n K0 n 0. The χc states are produced in radiative decays of 3.08×106 ψ(2S) resonance decays and observed in the CLEO detector. We also measure the largest substructure contributions to the modes π+π-π0π0 and K± K0π0. © 2008 The American Physical Society.Observation of X bJ(1P,2P) decays to light hadrons
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 78:9 (2008)
Abstract:
Analyzing Y(nS) decays acquired with the CLEO detector operating at the CESR e+e- collider, we measure for the first time the product branching fractions B[Y(nS)→YX bJ((n-1)P)]B[X bJ(n-1)P)→Xi] for n=2 and 3, where Xi denotes, for each i, one of the 14 exclusive light-hadron final states for which we observe significant signals in both X bJ(1P) and X bJ(2P) decays. We also determine upper limits for the electric dipole (E1) transitions Y(3S)→YX bJ(1P). © 2008 The American Physical Society.Forward-backward asymmetry in top-quark production in pp̄ collisions at s=1.96TeV
Physical Review Letters 101:20 (2008)
Abstract:
We present measurements of the forward-backward charge asymmetry in top pair production using 1.9fb-1 of pp̄ collisions at s=1.96TeV recorded with the Collider Detector at Fermilab II. Correcting for acceptance and measurement dilutions we obtain parton-level asymmetries of AFBpp̄=0.17±0.08 in the pp̄ frame and AFBtt̄=0.24±0.14 in the tt̄ frame. The values are consistent with the standard model expectation and disfavor exotic production mechanisms with significant negative values. © 2008 The American Physical Society. The Cosmic Crystallinity Conundrum: Clues from IRAS 17495–2534
