Search for decay of a fermiophobic higgs boson hf→ y y with the D0 detector at s=1.96a TeV
Physical Review Letters 101:5 (2008)
Abstract:
We report the results of a search for a narrow resonance decaying into two photons in 1.1fb-1 of data collected by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider during the period 2002"2006. We find no evidence for such a resonance and set a lower limit on the mass of a fermiophobic Higgs boson of mhf>100GeV at the 95% C.L. This exclusion limit exceeds those obtained in previous searches at the Fermilab Tevatron and covers a significant region of the parameter space B(hf→I I ) vs mhf which was not accessible at the CERN Large Electron-Positron Collider. © 2008 The American Physical Society.Search for new heavy particles decaying to Z0Z0→eeee in pp̄ collisions at s=1.96TeV
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 78:1 (2008)
Abstract:
We report the results of a search for the anomalous production of a massive particle decaying to four electrons via two Z0 bosons in 1.1fb-1 of pp̄ collisions at s=1.96TeV collected by the CDF II detector at Fermilab. We employ optimized electron identification criteria to maximize acceptance and efficiency. We estimate the backgrounds in the invariant mass range 500-1000GeV/c2 to be 0.028±0.009(stat)±0.011(syst) events. We observe zero events in this search region. Assuming a Randall-Sundrum graviton production model, we set 95% C.L. limits on σ×BF(G→Z0Z0)<4- 6pb, depending on the graviton mass. © 2008 The American Physical Society.Measurement of the proton structure function F L (x, Q 2) at low x
Physics Letters, Section B: Nuclear, Elementary Particle and High-Energy Physics 665:4 (2008) 139-146
Abstract:
A first measurement is reported of the longitudinal proton structure function F L (x, Q 2) at the ep collider HERA. It is based on inclusive deep inelastic e + p scattering cross section measurements with a positron beam energy of 27.5 GeV and proton beam energies of 920, 575 and 460 GeV. Employing the energy dependence of the cross section, F L is measured in a range of squared four-momentum transfers 12 ≤ Q 2 ≤ 90 GeV 2 and low Bjorken x 0.00024 ≤ x ≤ 0.0036. The F L values agree with higher order QCD calculations based on parton densities obtained using cross section data previously measured at HERA. © 2008 Elsevier B.V.
