Restricted locality of quark-hadron duality in exclusive meson photoproduction reactions above the resonance region
INT J MOD PHYS A 20:8-9 (2005) 1910-1913
Abstract:
We show how deviations from the dimensional scaling laws for exclusive processes may be related to a breakdown in the locality of quark-hadron duality, i.e. the "restricted locality". For exclusive reactions like meson photo- and electroproduction above the resonance region, we explore the effects arising from such a local duality breaking and propose that it can be a possible source for oscillations about the smooth quark counting rule predicted by pQCD in the 90-degree differential cross sections.Principles of general final-state resummation and automated implementation

Viscosity in strongly interacting quantum field theories from black hole physics
Physical Review Letters 94:11 (2005)
Abstract:
The ratio of shear viscosity to volume density of entropy can be used to characterize how close a given fluid is to being perfect. Using string theory methods, we show that this ratio is equal to a universal value of ℏ/4πkB for a large class of strongly interacting quantum field theories whose dual description involves black holes in anti-de Sitter space. We provide evidence that this value may serve as a lower bound for a wide class of systems, thus suggesting that black hole horizons are dual to the most ideal fluids. © 2005 The American Physical Society.Pseudo-Goldstones from Supersymmetric Wilson Lines on 5D Orbifolds
